Alone But Not Lonely
Yo! How are you guys? I hope you're okay. I'm continuing to learn from my current experiences as I always do, and this post is one of my ideas to share. Actually I already made this article last September and I decided to upload it in November and I canceled it, because I still thought something was missing even now in December 😃. But I also thought it would be better if I posted it now for the closure of 2020.
This idea came out after I had finished one of my articles about myself, and at that point I thought I should make an article about my solitude. I'm used to being alone and people always ask what the reason is, but there's nothing personal about this ... It's just me living and doing my life. And I just do whatever I want.
Alone but not lonely. What is that? What the title means? What's the difference? Have no idea? Let's check it out!
Loneliness means a person feel sad because one has no friends or company in a psychological state, while being alone means having no one else present in a physical state.
Loneliness is a condition for someone to feel alone. In fact, people could feel it, even if they were hanging out with others. Generally, this feeling of loneliness occurs because they don't feel understood by the people surround.
Meanwhile, being alone is a state of one's own. Even so, they did not feel lonely. They chose to be alone for their own reasons.
Feeling alone has the effect of emptiness at heart, but being alone has the effect of self-understanding.
The impact of loneliness is that people feel something is missing. And they need to fill these missing parts.
Meanwhile, "a loner" is for people who choose to be alone. They don't feel anything is missing. Precisely on their own, they understand themselves even more.
Feeling alone can causing health problems, but being alone can actually improve health.
Those who experience loneliness will constantly try to find the missing parts for their emptiness. If they do not succeed in getting it, they can experience health problems, both mental and physical.
However, those who choose to be alone does not cause health problems. In fact, many people choose to restore health by themselves. Maybe they feel emotionally unstable at times, and they don't want to affecting others, so it is better for them to withdraw from the world for a while.
People who are lonely seek attention, whereas "a loner" makes more self-exploration and introspection
When lonely, people tend to try to fill the void by seeking attention. They will feel happy when someone is willing to shower them with care and affection. However, when they didn't get that attention anymore, they will feel empty again.
Meanwhile, those who choose to be a loner tend to reflect and introspect themselves. This finally raises new potentials that may have previously been hidden inside of them.
In conclusion, loneliness tends to be negative but being alone as a loner has a positive impact
In conclusion, loneliness tends to be negative, whereas choosing to be alone is positive. For those of you who experience loneliness, you should try to learn to enjoy your solitude times so that it doesn't continue to have a negative effect on you.
